Yesterday, I had planned to test out a couple of recipes but it ended up being a sad day. Our second kitty, Popoki, was terribly jaundiced, not eating, dehydrated and thin. Exploratory surgery found incurable cancer and I had to say goodbye to her. She literally purred until she passed in my arms. She was the one who liked to sit with me, poking her head into my arm to get my attention. I had to type with one hand and pet with another when I brought my laptop to the couch, as I often do.

I decided to give myself an afternoon off and just heat up leftovers and veg.

Today, though, I’ll be back in the kitchen. We’ll see what I come up with.
